How to use:

Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.Apply the cream liberally to completely cover the whole of the affected area. Apply to the affected area five times a day at approximately 4 hourly intervals for four days. If your cold sore has not healed after this time, you can use the cream for up to 10 days in total. In this model, the drug was applied to the skin at the base of the cornea, which was treated with a 1% lidocaine solution. The topical treatment was carried out in an incubator and the concentration of the drug in the cream was measured at the end of the treatment. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the National Institute of Health (NIU-2016-1065). The patients were informed about the possible results of the study before the treatment. The patients had been instructed to apply the drug for the treatment of cold sores. The patients were instructed to wash their hands thoroughly every 2 days before and during the treatment. The treatment with zovirax cream was performed in an incubator, and the concentration of the drug in the cream was measured at the end of the treatment.
